Dr. Ankia Coetzee

Dr. Ankia Coetzee is an eminent Endocrinologist and Faculty at Tygerberg Hospital and Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Dr. Coetzee has a special interest in two areas of Diabetology – Diabetes in Pregnancy and Hyperglycemic emergencies. Dr. Coetzee is a former president of the National Society of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes in South Africa (SEMDSA). Dr. Coetzee is a reviewer of many scientific publications and holds a “bench to bedside and back” approach that integrates basic sciences with clinical medicine in high regard. Her master of medicine degree focused on hyperglycemic emergencies. With several international publications, guideline authorship and excellent oratory skills, Dr. Coetzee is an academic endocrinologist of global repute.
