Prof Manju Chandran who is a globally recognized Endocrinologist is a Senior Consultant and Director of the Osteoporosis and Bone Metabolism Unit at Singapore General Hospital. She is also Clinical Professor at DUKE NUS Medical School Singapore. Prof Chandran holds multiple leadership positions internationally- including being Chair of the Asia Pacific Consortium on Osteoporosis (APCO), Chair of the Asia Pacific Panel of the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), Member of the Board of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and Chair of the Fracture Working Group of its Council of Scientific Advisors, Member Bone Health Expert Group of the WHO. She is Past President of the Endocrine and Metabolic Society of Singapore and Past Chair of the Chapter of Endocrinologists, College of Physicians Singapore. She has won numerous international and national awards including the highest award in the IOF pantheon- the Olof Johnell Science Award, the ISCD Oscar S Gluck Humanitarian award, the ISCD International Clinician of the Year award, the IOF CNS medal, the SGH Most Inspiring mentor award etc. She has been nominated for the 2026 LÓreal UNESCO International Woman in Science award and is amongst the Stanford/Elsevier 2025 top 2% cited scientists in the world.
